extending our global leadership

We're proud to extend our global strengths to the North American market. Both globally and locally, SCA has a long history of sustainable action, long before it was a mainstream trend.

How long?  Calvin Coolidge was President.  Charles Lindbergh made the first solo, non-stop trans-Atlantic flight.  The year was 1927 and we were making recycled paper products in North America.

Since then we've won numerous awards highlighting our dedication to doing the right thing.

In the '70s we won the Izaac Walton League Clean Water Award for our state-of-the art waste water treatment system.

In the '90s we won an Air Pollution Control Award from the American Paper Institute & the National Forest Products Association, a Golden Earth Award from Winnebago County Wisconsin, a Recycling Award from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and the National Recycling Coalition.

Since 2000, we've really started to gain recognition for the things we've been doing all along.  Our facility in Indiana won a Proof Not Promises environmental award.  Barton, Alabama is a state-of-the-art facility and has won multiple awards since it was brought online - a Pollution Prevention Award, a Waste Recycling Award, and one from the Department of Environmental Management.  Our Flagstaff, Arizona facility has won the Governor's Prize for Water Management and a National Water Re-Use Award.  The Menasha, Wisconsin facility has received accolades for advancements in energy conservation - from the Department of Energy, Focus on Energy, and a Governor's Award.
