Why is hygiene important?

If you don’t wash your hands regularly, you are greatly increasing the risk to you and your family of getting sick.

People touch 300 different surfaces every 30 minutes. As many as 14 people in a row can be contaminated from touching a dirty door handle and you transfer 71% of the cold virus on your hands with a simple handshake. It is estimated that 80% of common diseases are spread by hands. Things from rhinovirus (common cold) to influenza to salmonella to E. coli, along with many other dangerous bacteria and viruses.
