As many as 14 people in a row can be contaminated from touching a dirty door handle and you transfer 71% of the cold virus on your hands with a simple handshake. It is estimated that 80% of common diseases are spread by hands. Things from rhinovirus (common cold) to influenza to salmonella to E. coli, along with many other dangerous bacteria and viruses.
